P R O C E S S1. SCHEMATIC DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE Our designers meet individually with our clients to determine the specific needs of the project. A Design Services Agreement is drafted and executed and a preliminary budget is set. Based on the information generated in the initial meeting, the Interior Designer will develop proposed Schematic Designs consisting of furniture layout, image board/s and preliminary perspectives. Upon the approval of the design concept, the Interior Designer will proceed to the Design Development Phase. 2. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE By this phase, a Design Services Agreement is drafted and executed. Based on the approved Schematic Design presentation and any adjustments by the Client, the Interior Designer will develop plans into more detailed drawings such as, floor plans with furniture layout, wall elevations and sections, reflected ceiling plan with lighting fixture layout, materials and finishing swatch boards, rendered perspective presentations, floor pattern details and other working details. 3. CONSTRUCTION AND FINISHING PHASE The third phase works differently for each project, but it is almost always the most exciting part of the process for each client. At this point the SDSI Design Team installs all of the fixtures, wall coverings, floor and ceiling finishes, and other construction design materials into the interior. 4. FURNISHING AND ACCESSORIZING PHASE By this phase, pieces are moved into place and positioned according to the design plans created by SDSI and approved by the client. The time required for the furnishing and accessorizing phase varies according to the scope of the project and the type of work being done on the site. Once furnishing is completed, a project is considered to be concluded. |
